Dane Dunning lasts 2/3 of an inning in Thursday's defeat

Dunning was announced as the Game 3 starter just hours before first pitch and didn't last long in this one as he recorded just two outs while giving up a pair of singles before exiting the ball game.

Fantasy Impact:

Dunning had an extremely short leash as he was yanked in the first inning after giving up a pair of singles with two outs wedged between them. He was replaced by fellow rookie Garrett Crochet who lasted just 2/3 of an inning himself before leaving with an elbow injury. All in all the White Sox employed nine pitchers in the close contest. The 25-year old Dunning has a promising future for the White Sox, though, as he registered a 3.97 ERA, 1.12 WHIPm and 35 strikeouts in 34 innings during his rookie season.
