Maddon went on to say that Ohtani is healthy and that he expects him to be a part of the rotation as a two-way player next year. Injuries have derailed the first few seasons of Ohtani's major league tenure, but he remains an impressive talent that the Angels are intent on getting maximum value out of. Right now, that apparently means they still want him to both hit and pitch.
