Bobby Witt Jr.: Royals GM says team is open to Witt making roster

MLB insider Jim Bowden reports that Royals general manager Dayton Moore says the team is open to top prospect Bobby Witt Jr. making the team out of spring training. Moore reminded Bowden that there are still two weeks left in spring training but that Witt can play center field, second base, and third base in addition to his natural position of shortstop. Fantasy Impact:

Witt is one of the top prospects in all of baseball and is off to a strong start in spring training, displaying the speed, power, and athleticism that made him the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft. There have been concerns that a small market team like the Royals could delay Witt's promotion for service time reasons, but Kansas City did make a series of under-the-radar win-now moves in the offseason. He is already an early-round selection in dynasty leagues, and his ADP will skyrocket in redraft leagues if it looks like he is going to make the big league roster out of camp.
