Eloy Jimenez (pectoral) looking at 4-5 month recovery timetable

by Dan Harris | White Sox Correspondent | Mon, Mar 29th 10:55pm EDT

Eloy Jimenez's second opinion confirmed his pectoral tear. He will have surgery tomorrow and is expected to need 4-to-5 months to recover. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The 4-to-5 month window is better than first thought, but still leaves Jimenez with a best-case scenario of a return late in the season. He's still potentially draftable in deep 15-team (or larger) leagues, but only if you have multiple IL spots. Other than that, ignore Jimenez for redraft purposes.
