Leonys Martin gets the only hits off of King Felix

by Mitch Cox | Sun, Apr 19th 1:30am EDT

Leonys Martin was back in the leadoff position tonight against Felix Hernandez and the Mariners, and responded well, going 2-for-4 with a single and a double on the night. Martin's hits were the only base knocks against Hernandez by the anemic Rangers offense. (source)

Fantasy Impact:

The two hits raised Martin's season average to .184 which sounds terrible, but when you look at what Elvis Andrus (.163), Roughned Odor (.158), Shin-Soo Choo (.138) and Adrian Beltre (.140) are doing, he looks like he might be the Rangers' representative at the All-Star game. He will improve and most likely hit in the .260 neighborhood by the time the season is over. The question is if fantasy owners can wait that long.
