Ian Anderson solid across seven innings Tuesday

by Steve Painter | Braves Correspondent | Tue, Apr 27th 11:16pm EDT

Ian Anderson pitched seven innings against the Cubs Tuesday, allowing one hit, and one walk while striking out eight batters. He earned a quality start and his second win of the year, sporting a 2-0 record thus far, with a 2.48 ERA. He threw 90 pitches, 59 for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

If he could tighten up strikes to pitches ratio, he'd be near elite in his rookie year. He is easily the team's best active pitcher, with Mike Soroka and Max Fried sidelined right now. That puts enormous pressure on the young pitcher but he is proving that he can handle that with ease. If he keeps pitching like tonight, NL ROY is within reach for him.
