Astros catcher Martin Maldonado went 3-for-4 hitting out of the ninth spot on Wednesday. He contributed a pair of singles as well as a two-run home run in the ninth inning that give Houston insurance runs.
Fantasy Impact:
Maldonado is slashing just .129/.197/.214 with six walks and 30 strikeouts. Peculiarly, his two RBI on Thursday were his very first of the season. The 34-year-old ranks 39th among backstops in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings
