by Andersen Pickard | Rangers Correspondent | Sat, Jun 5th 8:02am EDT

Rockies manager Bud Black announced that starting pitcher Jon Gray is dealing with "general right elbow soreness in the area of the forearm," per Nick Groke of The Athletic. The right-hander lasted just 2.1 innings on Friday, allowing five runs on four hits and a pair of walks. He gave up two homers in effort and his velocity was noticeably down. (Nick Groke on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It will be worth monitoring the severity of this injury and whether it necessitates a trip to the injured list. Gray certainly didn't look right in his outing on Friday. He's now 4-6 through 12 starts with a 4.29 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and .229 OBA. He's walked 27 batters and struck out 50 this year.
