Thairo Estrada homers in loss to the Dodgers

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Wed, Jul 21st 12:02pm EDT

Shortstop Thairo Estrada went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and a strikeout as the Giants lost to the Dodgers 8-6 on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Estrada bopped a solo homer off of Josiah Gray in the top of the fifth inning to put the Giants up 4-1. Mike Yastrzemski followed that up with a two-run shot of his own to give S.F. a commanding lead, which they would eventually lose. Estrada has been raking over his limited number of at-bats and will continue to play every day as shortstop Brandon Crawford is out with an oblique strain. He's hitting .342 with a .971 OPS to go along with two home runs and 11 RBI over 38 at-bats.
