Jared Walsh (intercostal strain) lands on the 10-day IL

Fantasy Impact:
Walsh exited Monday’s game early with a side injury, and it was later diagnosed as a right intercostal strain. He was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 27. Walsh will be out the next 10 days, and it’s unclear how much time the Angels' first baseman will miss. Phil Gosselin should see an uptick in playing time while Walsh is out. Infielder Matt Thaiss was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.
