by Andersen Pickard | Astros Correspondent | Mon, Aug 2nd 7:57am EDT

While Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez started Sunday's game against the Giants on the bench, he entered as a pinch-hitter in the fifth inning, replacing Michael Brantley. He would go on to log a groundout in his first at-bat before doubling and scoring in his second trip to the plate. Houston ultimately fell to San Francisco by a score of 5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Alvarez is now slashing .281/.349/.510 with 19 homers, 67 RBI, 30 walks, and 100 strikeouts this year. He's hit a feeble 11-for-53 with 17 strikeouts over the last 15 games.
