Chris Bassitt earned the win on Thursday against Cleveland, allowing three hits over six shutout innings with six strikeouts and two walks.
Bassitt was able to strand a runner on third base in the first inning and forced a double play in the fifth inning after allowing the first two runners to reach base. Outside of those two frames, he was completely lights out the rest of the outing en route to a quality start. He now boasts a 3.06 ERA on the year and earned his 12th win on the season. Bassitt has also tossed at least six innings in five of his last six starts.
