Cleveland right-hander Triston McKenzie allowed four runs over four innings in a 7-2 loss to the Rangers on Saturday. He struck out two and walked four.
McKenzie ends his up-and-down season on a down note. The young hurler started the season poorly but strung together an excellent stretch of starts in August and early September. His final three starts of September weren't great, however, as he allowed 14 runs over 10 2/3 innings in that span. Overall, McKenzie ends up with a 5-9 record, 4.95 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 136 strikeouts in 120 innings. He will be a polarizing name in fantasy drafts in 2022.
