Erick Fedde allowed two runs on three hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Marlins. He struck out five and took the loss, falling to 1-2.
Fantasy Impact:
Fedde ran into the buzzsaw that is Pablo Lopez, so he had almost no chance to leave Wednesday's outing with a win. He wasn't terrible, however, giving up just three hard-hit balls all night. Fedde will struggle for wins on the Nationals and his 6.00 ERA hardly inspires confidence. But he has just a 3.45 xFIP, which suggests that better days should be ahead. He will take on the Rockies in Colorado in his next start.
