Max Scherzer suffered oblique injury, awaiting MRI results

Mets SP Max Scherzer has been diagnosed with an oblique injury and underwent an MRI on Thursday to evaluate the extent of the injury as reported by MLB Network’s Jon Heyman. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Max Scherzer will most likely miss time with this injury but oblique injuries have a wide range of recovery times. No time table for his return can be created until the MRI results are reviewed. Any missed time for Scherzer’s fantasy managers, especially considering his ADP, but all they can do is wait at this point. A stint in the IL should be anticipated and managers should start thinking about replacement plans.
