Joe Musgrove gets lit up in loss Thursday

by Kendall Capps | Padres Correspondent | Fri, Jun 24th 3:04am EDT

Padres starter Joe Musgrove had his worst start of the season Thursday, giving up six runs on six hits and a walk across six innings in a 6-2 loss to the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact:

Musgrove struck out a season-low one batter in the loss, as the Padres righty lost his first game of the year, falling to 8-1. Musgrove kept the Phillies off the scoreboard through the first four innings, but that's when the good times ended. The 29-year-old allowed a run in the 5th on an RBI single from Odebel Herrera. But it was the 6th when the wheels fell off. Both Kyle Schwarber and J.T. Realmuto took Musgrove deep. He'll look to rebound next time out with a tough matchup at the Dodgers.
