Brad Keller fires six shutout innings in win Friday

by Luke Monaldo | White Sox Correspondent | Sat, Jul 2nd 7:53am EDT

Brad Keller pitched six innings, allowing no runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five in Kansas City’s 3-1 victory in Detroit on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Keller has now won two of his last three starts, after going winless between May 3 and June 18, and improves to 3-9 on the season. Keller lowered his ERA to 4.24, it’s lowest point since June 7 and it was his eighth quality start in 15 trips to the mound so his record is deceiving. Keller started off July right after finishing June 1-4 with a 5.92 ERA to go with 19 strikeouts and 11 walks in 24 1/3 innings across five starts. Keller will look to go 2-0 in July in his next start on Wednesday in Houston.
