Yovani Gallardo shut down the Los Angeles Dodgers over seven innings today to lead the Texas Rangers to a 4-1 win. Gallardo was magnificent, scattering four hits and three walks, while striking out four. (www.mlb.com)
Fantasy Impact:
This was the 11th straight quality start by the Rangers rotation (who would have predicted that?) and Gallardo's fifth straight solid effort. Over his last five starts covering 32 innings, Gallardo has allowed just 20 hits and five earned runs.
