Scott Barlow pitched one inning, allowing no runs on one hit and no walks while striking out one in Kansas City’s 3-1 win in Toronto on Thursday.

Barlow is now 16-for-18 on save opportunities this season. He has converted 8 straight and 16-of-17 and carries a 2.11 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 42 2/3 innings across 39 appearances. His 16 saves are tied for 7th most in the American League. Barlow has locked down six saves (most saves in any month this season) already in July and nine since June 24.
