Freddie Freeman placed on 15-day DL

by Lee Harvey | Dodgers Correspondent | Tue, Jun 23rd 8:56pm EDT

The Atlanta Braves placed Freddie Freeman on the 15-day disabled list today. Freeman underwent a MRI Monday and the results showed nothing serious. The Braves' 1st baseman will not make the trip to Washington for the series with the Nationals. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman was having a phenomenal year, especially against the Nationals. In the last six games against Washington, he was 13-for-25 against the Nationals, so this hurts the daily fantasy players more than anything. Chris Johnson, who is batting .221 this season, will start the series against the Nationals at 1st base.
