Charlie Morton allows six runs in no decision on Sunday

by Devon Bruce | Braves Correspondent | Sun, Sep 25th 7:59pm EDT

Charlie Morton pitched 4 2/3 innings allowing six earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four during Atlanta's win over Philadelphia on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Morton was pushed around by the Phillies, allowing two home runs to Kyle Schwarber and allowing a season-high six runs overall. Morton has been extremely contrasting all season as he has 12 starts allowing four earned runs or more while also producing 14 starts where he's allowed two runs or fewer. Since he seems to be alternating nice starts with clunkers maybe he will put together a decent outing in his next start against the Mets on Saturday. Overall on the year, Morton is 9-6 with a 4.29 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with a 200:62 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 30 starts.
