Jake Diekmans signs one-year deal with Mets

Fantasy Impact:
The deal is expected to be for around $5.5 million with a vesting option included, but nothing financial has officially been released. The left-hander produced a healthy 3.34 ERA between the White Sox and Rays in 2023, bouncing back from a 4.99 ERA in 2022. However, Diekman struggles mightily with control as he has walked at least 13% of the batters he has faced in each of his last five seasons, including a 15.6% mark in each of his last two campaigns.
