Chris Sale

Chris Sale cannot get any run support on Wednesday

by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Braves Correspondent | Thu, Aug 27th 10:22am EDT

Chris Sale was his dominant self once again. He pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out seven. However, the relief pitchers of Nate Jones and Zach Putnam let up three runs in the eighth and ninth innings to lose to Boston 0-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Chris Sale is the prototypical ace that any team would want. The only downfall is that he plays for a very inconsistent and average White Sox team. He should be in contention for the CY Young Award again this year, although he will not win because too much emphasis is put on wins and losses. Sale is 12-7 for the season with a 3.20 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. If you are lucky to have him, he should play for your fantasy team every time he starts. He is also a great cash game and 50/50 option in DFS contests.
