Carlos Santana swings big but Twins fall short

by Chris Schommer | Twins Correspondent | Sun, May 12th 7:40am EDT

Carlos Santana went 2-for-4 in the Twins' 10-8 loss to the Blue Jays with a home run, a double, two runs scored, and three RBI.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite the loss, Santana's performance was a bright spot, showing he still has the power to impact games significantly. His season-long struggle with a low batting average (.203) and on-base skills (only 12 walks in 36 games) continues to be a concern for fantasy managers. However, his ability to drive in runs (18 RBI) and hit for power (6 home runs) can't be ignored in formats that value these categories. Santana's lack of consistency makes him a risky play, but his power potential might offer some value in deeper leagues or as a situational player against favorable pitching matchups.
