Twins hope Glen Perkins will return when eligible

The Twins remain hopeful that closer Glen Perkins will be ready for activation from the DL when he is eligible, April 26. Perkins hit the DL with a shoulder injury. (Star Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
The quicker he's able to return, the more likely Perkins is to remain the team's closer moving forward. Kevin Jepsen is merely a placeholder and doesn't pose a real threat to take the role away from Perkins. There have been rumors that Trevor May could get a shot at the ninth-inning role, but that gets less likely if Perkins is able to return before the end of the month.
