Carlos Ruiz gets on base twice in win over Braves
by Kerry Kauffman | Wed, May 11th 12:22am EDT
The Phillies continue to find ways to win, improving to 12-3 in one-run games with a 4-3 decision over the Braves. Carlos Ruiz, getting the start in place of Cameron Rupp, is still thriving in his reduced role. He went 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting a solid .288 for the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Ruiz has an on-base percentage of .362 and OPS of .881, which would be his best numbers since the 2012 season. The problem, in terms of fantasy value, is that Ruiz is on pace to get only about 250 at-bats this season, limiting his overall value.
