Hitless game for Brett Gardner
by Chris Zolli | Sat, May 14th 8:45pm EDT
Brett Gardner finished 0-for-4 with a strikeout against the White Sox on Saturday. Gardner has struggled mightly of late, as he has five hits over his last 10 games and has not had a multi-hit game since April 29. He has a .731 OPS this season.
Fantasy Impact:
Even with his struggles at the plate, Gardner has walked 19 times this season, leading to a .356 OBP and the decent OPS. Other than his strong OBP, the fact that Gardner is 5-for-6 on stolen bases is very appealing for fantasy owners. Gardner is 7-for-24 with four doubles against the starter on Sunday for the White Sox, Miguel Gonzalez, and has a .962 OPS at home in 2016.
