Dan Straily strikes out 11 Dodgers, Reds offense stalls out again

by Justin Elick | Thu, May 26th 3:19pm EDT

Straily was tremendous on Wednesday night, striking out 11 over seven innings. He allowed three earned runs on three hits, and walked just one in the 3-1 loss. The Reds offense was once again shut down, as they scored just one run and three total in the series.

Fantasy Impact:

Straily has been the lone bright spot in the Reds rotation of late, as he now owns a 1.12 WHIP, 2.98 ERA, and 52 strikeouts over 54.1 innings. He is a worthy add in season-long leagues, but don't expect him to get many win opportunities, especially on the road. The Reds are an MLB-worst 3-17 on the road this season. Straily's next start is scheduled for Tuesday at Colorado. If you're looking to add him, you may want to keep him on the shelf until he isn't pitching in Coors Field.
