Jon Lester blanks Braves

Another day at the ballpark for Jon Lester and another quality start, as he allowed one run (no earned runs) on five hits in seven innings against Atlanta to move his record to 8-3. Lester has allowed one run or fewer in 10 of his 13 starts this season and has a 1.89 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 2016. He will face the Pirates on June 18.
Fantasy Impact:
After walking two or more batters in six of his previous eight starts, Lester has not walked a batter over the last three starts. In fact, Lester's best stretch has been over the last three games, where he has a 0.38 ERA in 24 innings, allowing just 13 hits and no walks while striking out 26 batters. Current Pirates' batters have 170 at-bats against Lester and have a .643 OPS, but Matt Joyce does have two home runs in 11 at-bats against the Cubs' left-hander.
