Cole Hamels

Cole Hamels subpar once again

by Mitch Cox | Fri, Jul 8th 11:43pm EDT

For the second straight time, Cole Hamels struggled against one of the worst teams in baseball. Hamels gave up five hits and five runs, walked six and struck out four in the Rangers 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins.

Fantasy Impact:

It was another rough outing for Hamels against a team that is 26 games under .500. Hamels labored, throwing 109 pitches in just 4.1 innings. The six walks issued is a single game high for the season. The southpaw might start next week's All-Star game for the AL, but he'll need to be better than today against a tough NL lineup.
