Joey Votto back to hitting

Joey Votto finished 1-for-3 with a walk on Friday after his 17-game hitting streak was snapped on Thursday. Votto is 9-for-22 with a double and two runs scored over the last seven days. He has a .911 OPS this season.
Fantasy Impact:
As with 2015, it took the second half of the season for Votto to break out as a top 1B option, as his patience at the plate has morphed into a boost in average and power. Losing Jay Bruce to the Mets hurts, but Votto is easily a top-10 1B, and possibly top-five, for the remainder of the season.
