Max Scherzer allowed two hits and no walks in eight shutout innings, striking out 10 batters in a 4-0 win for the Nationals over the Orioles. Scherzer is 3-1 with a 3.24 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, and 40 strikeouts in 33 1/3 innings this month. He has a 14-7 record and 2.92 ERA this season and will face the Phillies in Philadelphia on August 30.
