Justin Verlander allowed two runs on four hits in six innings, beating the Twins with his 11 strikeouts and two walks. Verlander is 1-1 in September with a 2.52 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, striking out 36 batters in 25 innings. He is 15-8 with a 3.21 ERA this season and will face the Indians in Detroit on September 27.
