Brown set career-high marks in targets, receptions and yards in his first season with the Bills in 2019. With Buffalo having acquired Stefon Diggs from Minnesota in a March trade, Brown is unlikely to replicate those numbers in 2020 for a team that's built to win with defense and controlling the football. He also catches passes from a quarterback who isn't particularly accurate. When Miller entered December of his rookie season with 29 receptions for 398 yards and five touchdowns over his first 10 NFL games, it seemed as if he was on track to become a key part of Chicago's passing game. He then ended up catching eight passes for 53 yards over his next nine games through the end of last September. His increased usage later in the year was encouraging.
Elisha Twerski
numberFire
When Taylor Gabriel went down last year, Miller posted a 16-game pace of 80 receptions for 1,001 yards and 5 tuddies. That line would've made him the WR25 last season.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
John Brown had an impressive career resurgence in 2019, exploding to 1000 yards and 6 TDs with 37% of the team's air yards as the Bills RB1. With Stefon Diggs now in town, we can expect some more freedom for Brown but also a lot of very quiet games. He'll be difficult to start with any certainty and is a boom/bust option better suited to Best Ball.Anthony Miller's enigmatic start to his NFL career continued in 2019 with two massive 100+ yard explosions and a heap of underwhelming single-digit efforts. There's no doubt his continued shoulder issues remain an issue but after another off-season surgery, it's very possible Miller has another slow start. In an offense that surely must be better under Nick Foles, there's a lot of hope Miller will break out in his third season, just know you may have to wait it out a little.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
The addition of Stefon Diggs likely crushed the appeal that Brown had in fantasy football. The Bills gave up a first, fourth, fifth, and sixth-round pick for Diggs (and a seventh rounder). That's a lot. The fact that there will be no preseason certainly helps Brown, as he has experience and chemistry with Josh Allen, as well as knowing the offense. Here's the crazy part about Brown last year: He hit WR3 or better numbers in 73.3 percent of his games, which ranked 11th in the league. He only hit WR2 or better numbers in 26.7 percent of his games, which ranked 51st in the league. Now start removing targets to get Diggs his, and we suddenly lose some of that WR3 floor that he had. He is a good football player who just won't get enough targets to start on a consistent basis. Now, if Diggs were to miss any time, we could go back to playing him as a low-end WR2/high-end WR3. Until then, Brown is in the WR4 range for me.Despite playing with Mitch Trubisky, Miller has now seen 139 targets in his first two seasons, compiling 85 receptions for 1,079 yards and nine touchdowns. By comparison, Robert Woods saw 139 targets last year, finishing with 90 receptions for 1,134 yards and two touchdowns. But for whatever reason, Matt Nagy has chosen not to let Miller flourish in the Bears offense. There were just seven games he saw more than three targets. In those seven games, he totaled 42 receptions for 547 yards, and two touchdowns. With Taylor Gabriel gone, it's very possible that Miller becomes more of a staple in the offense. He's best viewed as a WR4/5-type option with WR3 upside.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Brown had a solid 2019 season eclipsing 1,000 yards but was unlucky in the TD department finishing with only six. Now, the Bills have added Stefon Diggs to the receiving room which doesn't bode well for Brown. Both Brown and Diggs make their money on the deep ball and there are only so many of those targets to go around. I don't see him being consistent enough to be trusted as a weekly starter but he's still worth a roster spot. After a strong rookie season in which Miller scored seven TDs, he regressed in year two scoring only two times and never seeming to get on the same page as QB Mitchell Trubisky. He still seems to be the WR2 in Chicago which is a plus but it's not like the Bears passing offense is one you're dying to be a part of. I see Miller as a WR4 with a sliver of upside depending on who starts at QB for the Bears.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
If you take Miller's final six games of the fantasy season, he had 34 catches for 433 yards, which prorates out to a 90-catch, 1154-yard line over a full season. Although he only caught two touchdown passes last year, he caught seven the prior season, so he's due for some positive regression. He's coming off shoulder surgery again, but so long as he's healthy, and especially if Nick Foles (who loves to target slot receivers) wins the starting quarterback job, Miller should be in for a fine year.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Brown was 22nd in WR targets last season, was 31st in true target value (brotofantasy.com), and finished 20th in FPPG. He over-performed last season and may see less work with Diggs in town. With that said, this risk is currently baked into his ADP.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Brown was fantastic last season, but he's going to see a bit of regression this year with the addition of Stefon Diggs to the offense. Diggs is going to command targets, which limits Brown's overall ceiling. He's nothing more than a WR3/FLEX option this season that has the potential to win you a week with one or two big plays.Miller was fantastic his rookie season in Chicago, but took a big step backwards last year with the offensive struggles. Additionally, Miller has struggled with a shoulder issue for quite some time now that kept recurring last season. This season though, Miller should get back on track and should easily be second on this team in targets. The offense can only go up from where it was last year and Miller should see plenty of scoring opportunities as well. He's a great pick in the mid-rounds of your draft.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Can be a perfectly fine fill in as your NFL team's WR1 but it isn't the roll he's best suited for. Even filling that roll this year he wasn't a clear target hog. Will most likely get pushed to second fiddle when the draft comes along but I think that effects his perceived fantasy value more than his actual worth. Can still get around 100 targets and be flexy.Going into his age 26 season, just a year younger than teammate Allen Robinson. We have the assumption that Nagy would like to use his TE more. Burton had 94 targets in 2018 but hasn't been able to stay on the field. Jimmy Graham comes in, along with rookie Cole Kmet. Miller should still have a clear path to targets if he can take it. Has struggled with shoulder injuries, having surgeries each year, his route running is good.
