Andrew Luck is 'healing tremendously'

by Anthony Cervino | Sat, Jun 10th 7:22am EDT

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay told the media quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) is "healing tremendously" five months removed from offseason shoulder surgery. "This [surgery] has been a positive thing, not a negative thing or anything like that," Irsay said via ESPN. "He was really struggling going through the process of being ready to play [each week last season]. This was, quite frankly, not that complicated of a surgery. This was a simple labrum repair. There are a lot of other things that could have been involved with this surgery that weren't." (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Although Irsay had positive sentiments to share on Luck and his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery, he has yet to put a timetable on when the franchise signal caller will resume throwing. However, Irsay is maintaining that Luck will be good to go for Week 1 of the 2017 regular season even if he remains limited or a nonparticipant for the remainder of the offseason. For Luck, he told the press that he is "feeling great" and that his "rehab is going well." This story will continue to develop and could begin to unfold at next week's mandatory minicamp.
