Deonte Thompson leads Bills in targets

by Mike Mahern | Mon, Nov 20th 1:00am EST

Buffalo Bills WR Deonte Thompson received a team high eight targets in a week 11 road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Thompson caught three passes for 36 yards in the contest.

Fantasy Impact:

Thompson increased involvement was likely due, in part, to WR Kelvin Benjamin leaving with an injury in the first quarter. Unfortunately, the extra looks did not translate into a productivve fantasy day. Thompson himself was injured late in the game, the severity of which is unclear at the time of this writing. Add that to the list of uncertainties in the Bills passing offense, which includes Benajamin's injury, and the starting QB going forward (rookie QB Nathan Peterman was benched after five first half interceptions, in favor of former starter Tyrod Taylor). The Bills visit the Kansas City Chiefs in week 12, a favorable matchup which could make Thompson a sneaky sleeper play, but one not worth considering until some of these outstanding questions get answered.
