Joe Webb III

Joe Webb makes one big throw in relief

by Keith Kraska | Sun, Dec 10th 5:04pm EST

Third-stringer Joe Webb came in at quarterback in the third quarter of the Bills' overtime victory Sunday over Indianapolis after Nathan Peterman was knocked out of the game. Webb completed 2 of 6 passes for 35 yards and an interception. He ran five times for 27 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

Webb isn't even a full-time quarterback, as he actually came into the game leading the Bills in special-teams snaps. It showed, until he dropped a 34-yard dime to Deonte Thompson in overtime during the Bills' game-winning drive. With Tyrod Taylor's knee not ready for action and Nathan Peterman in concussion protocol, it's conceivable that the eight-year veteran could get his first NFL start since 2013 next week at home against Miami. Regardless, fantasy owners shouldn't even give him a thought.
