Kelvin Benjamin held to one catch in Wild Card loss

by Mike Mahern | Sun, Jan 7th 9:49pm EST

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin was unable to make a significant impact in his team's Wild Card loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Benjamin was targeted just twice in the contest, hauling in just one reception for 9 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

The game was mostly a defensive slog, which had a significant impact on the Bills offensive production, particularly their passing game. Benjamin has not delivered on his potential since joining the Bills via trade mid-season, mostly due to injury, and he carries a hefty price tag relative to his production should the Bills elect to hold onto him under the terms of his current contract heading into 2018. On the other hand, it's easy to envision a healthy Benjamin being a productive contributor for the Bills, given their current lack of reliable playmakers at the position. Bottom line: his prospects going forward are too murky to accurately assess at this time, due to the myriad variables in play.
