by Anthony Cervino | Fri, Feb 16th 9:18am EST

NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala is reporting Pittsburgh Steelers GM Kevin Colbert told RB Le'Veon Bell that the team wants to retain him for the rest of his career. "We think he can still be a great player from this point forward, and we would love to have him be a Steeler for the rest of his career, Colbert said via NFL.com. (Aditi Kinkhabwala on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The relationship between the Steelers and Bell remains up in the air at the moment. Remember, while the team was preparing for the AFC Divisional Round game against the Jaguars, Bell was suggesting to the press that he will sit out in 2018 if he doesn't receive a new long-term deal this offseason. However, in the wake of Colbert's remarks, it a appears that the two sides will more than likely hammer out a lucrative deal, even if they elect to place the franchise tag on him to keep him from hitting the open market. Bell will turn 26 on February 18.
