Kevin White draws praise from Matt Nagy

by Jody Smith | Thu, Jun 7th 10:45am EDT

New head coach Matt Nagy complimented WR Kevin White, saying "He’s been running routes well; he’s been catching a lot of footballs." Nagy also praised White's mentality, noting that the veteran wideout has a "next-play mentality" after a dropped pass. These traits will be crucial for White in his fourth season, as the club has already declined his fifth-year option, setting up the 2015 first-rounder to become a free agent following the 2018 season. Fantasy Impact:

Since being selected No. 7 overall in 2015, White has played only five NFL games and has yet to produce a touchdown. The Bears signed Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel in free agency and like what 2018 second-round selection Anthony Miller brings to the offense. For White to have any impact at all, he has to stay healthy but will have a hard time winning a significant role in Nagy's new offense. For now, White is off the redraft radar and is running out of time in dynasty leagues.
