AJ McCarron injured at Bills' practice

by Jody Smith | Sun, Aug 12th 7:20pm EDT

ESPN Buffalo Bills reporter Mike Rodak tweeted that presumptive Buffalo Bills starting quarterback AJ McCarron injured his lower right leg or ankle during the team's Sunday practice. McCarron was checked out by trainers but angrily threw his helmet to the ground before eventually returning to practice a few moments later. (Mike Rodak via Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

McCarron signed a two-year, $10 million deal and was expected to be the club's starter but hasn't done anything noteworthy so far in training camp while Josh Allen has had his moments. While McCarron is still considered the favorite to open the season as Buffalo's starter, Allen is gaining ground and McCarron may not hold onto that job for long. McCarron only has fantasy value in 2QB or superflex leagues as a middling QB3.
