Dee Ford will most likely miss Saturday's opening preseason game against the Cowboys, after receiving a PRP injection to help treat his left knee which suffers from tendinitis. (MercuryNews.com)

Ford has been dealing with knee issues dating back to last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. He has not been present at the 49ers practice for the last three days, and now with the PRP injection, he will likely need a full week to recover. San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan, does not believe the issue is too serious at the moment. As like with all other injuries, it will be closely monitored in the weeks leading up to the regular season.
