Golden Tate (hamstring) 'on track to play' Sunday vs. Bears

by Mike Maher | Sun, Sep 20th 12:37am EDT

Giants wide receiver Golden Tate is on track to play in the team's Week 2 matchup against the Chicago Bears after missing the team's Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

After catching 49 of his 85 targets for 676 yards and six touchdowns over 11 games in 2019, it's difficult to know what to expect from Tate in 2020. Not only is there a new coaching staff and offensive coordinator in New York, but Tate is competing with Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, and Saquon Barkley for targets in the passing game. He'll have the most value in PPR leagues due to his tendency to run routes close to the line of scrimmage, but he is a risky play in Week 2.
