Alexander Mattison underwent a successful appendectomy surgery

by Dave Kluge | Raiders Correspondent | Sat, Dec 5th 4:34pm EST

Alexander Mattison was surprisingly downgraded to out with an illness, and Tom Pelissero is reporting that it was due to appendicitis that required surgery. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The majority of appendectomies are done arthroscopically nowadays so the recovery time shouldn't be too bad for Mattison. There's a chance that he could miss multiple weeks but nothing has been confirmed so far. In Mattison's absence, Ameer Abdullah should play second fiddle to Dalvin Cook who is primed for a huge game against a porous Jacksonville defense on Sunday.
