Jalen Hurts named starting quarterback for Eagles

by Mike Maher | Eagles Correspondent | Tue, Dec 8th 1:37pm EST

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is naming Jalen Hurts his new starting quarterback and the rookie will start Sunday vs. the New Orleans Saints, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter. Carson Wentz will backup Hurts. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Hurts entered last week's game against the Green Bay Packers in relief of Carson Wentz and went 5-for-12 with 109 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while rushing for 29 yards. The Eagles offense has been struggling for much of the season, but Hurts offers some upside because of his running ability. However, he will be facing a Saints defense that has allowed the sixth-fewest points to opposing quarterbacks this season.
