Mitch Trubisky remains starter, no QB battle to open up

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that the team's QB2 Mitch Trubisky remains the starter in Week 15 with Kenny Pickett remaining sidelined and the team will not open up a QB battle between Trubisky and QB3 Mason Rudolph this week. (Alex Kozora on Twitter)

Trubisky threw for 190 yards with a touchdown and an interception on 62.9% completion in Pittsburgh's Week 14 TNF loss to the New England Patriots. The Steelers are looking down the barrel of missing out on a Wild Card spot, and the stress combined with Thursday's loss creates pressure to continue searching for a spark. Rudolph, a team veteran, has started 10 games for the Steelers since 2019 but none since 2021. Tomlin intends to stick with Trubisky for the time being and won't open up a battle this week.
