Congrats to Tony Mauriello (FantasyTrade411) for grabbing the honor as week 5’s most accurate expert. As the #1 rated QB expert, Mauriello gets credit for hitting on several of Sunday’s top QB studs. Most importantly, his ranking (QB #3) for Tony Romo (5 TDs, 500 passing yds) was surpassed by only 3 of the 133 experts we monitored. Mauriello also had the week’s third best fantasy QB – Jay Cutler (358 passing yds, 2 TDs) – rated above all but 4 experts. In fact, only 5% of pundits recommended Cutler as a starter in 10 team leagues. Mauriello was in that group by virtue of his prediction that Cutler would be a top 10 QB. Advice at the WR position was another spot where Mauriello showed good foresight. He rated T.Y. Hilton (140 yds receiving, 2 TDs) as high as any expert we tracked. He also delivered solid recommendations by slotting several key performers ahead of the expert consensus: Austin Pettis (+15 spots vs. ECR), Vincent Brown (+11 spots vs. ECR) and Alshon Jeffery (+5 spots vs. ECR).
