Pitcher

Trevor Cahill (LAA): $7,100 @ TEX
Cahill is the sixth cheapest pitching option on Monday night and presents the best value for your DraftKings lineup. After a rough first start of the season, Cahill has put together back to back quality starts and currently carries a 0.89 WHIP and a 3.50 ERA. He also has a favorable matchup as the Rangers are 17th in the league in both batting average and runs. Through three starts Cahill is averaging 5.33 strikeouts a game, has a 1-1 record, and for fantasy purposes, he has averaged 17.4 FPPG.

Other Notables
Matt Shoemaker (TOR): $7,800 @ MIN – More expensive option but has been flat out dominant to start 2019.

Catcher

Omar Narvaez (SEA): $3,400 vs. CLE
The Seattle offense has been on a tear and leads the league in runs scored and is second in batting average. Narvarez did concede two starts to Tom Murphy last week so that is worth watching today, but Narvarez started the last two games against Houston. On the season he is batting .259 with two home runs and six RBI. He went hitless over the weekend which is just the second time he’s gone hitless in back to back games in 2019, which means tomorrow is a nice bounce-back opportunity. In his career, he is a far better hitter against right-handed pitchers which he gets tonight in the form of Trevor Bauer.

Other Notables
Austin Barnes (LAD): $3,700 vs. CIN – Had a rough weekend at the plate, but his .273 average and .872 OPS combined with this price tag is worth a play.

First Base

Justin Smoak (TOR): $4,100 @ MIN
Smoak continues to play well for the Blue Jays in 2019. His slash line of .225/.404/.804 won’t exactly blow your hair back, but he is averaging 7.9 FPPG and hasn’t scored fewer than 8.0 over the last four games. Smoak has hit two homers and driven in seven runs which gives him some added value. He is a value play with a relatively safe floor and the potential upside to net you double-digit points.

Other Notables
Max Muncy (LAD): $4,200 vs. CIN – Muncy continues to hit for power and drive in runs with four home runs and 12 RBI.

Second Base

Dee Gordon (SEA): $3,900 vs. CLE
Gordon is great value at this price given the season that he has had so far. Gordon is batting .323 and has driven in 11 runs. He has gone hitless just four times this season and has as many multi-hit games. He’s coming off of back to back hitless efforts, but his 9.1 FPPG and $3,900 price tag are enough to put him in my lineups tonight.

Other Notables
Kolten Wong (STL): $4,000 @ MIL – Wong’s slash is .298/.424/1.062 and he has four home runs and 10 RBI. Enough said.

Shortstop

Tim Beckham (SEA): $3700 vs. CLE
Beckham is off to a hot start on baseball’s best offense to this point. He is batting .339 with four home runs, 12 RBI, a 1.053 OPS, and is averaging 10.6 FPPG. Currently, Beckham is on a three-game hit streak and has failed to register a hit in only three games this season. I’m playing Beckham while his cost is this low until further notice.

Other Notables
Fernando Tatis Jr. (SD): $4,100 vs. COL – He’s batting .268 with five home runs and 11 RBI to go along with a .933 OPS and 9.1 FPPG.

Third Base

Jeff McNeil (NYM): $3,900 @ PHI
McNeil is batting .383 on the season with nine RBI, a .463 OBP, and is averaging 8.2 FPPG. While his power isn’t there his ability to get on base certainly is. McNeil is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak and has had six multi-hit games so far. To make his case further, he is historically better against right-handed pitchers which he will see in Aaron Nola tonight.

Other Notables
Eugenio Suarez (CIN): $3,900 @ LAD – He’s batting .286 this season with three home runs, six RBI, and is averaging 7.4 FPPG.

Outfield

Jason Heyward (CHC): $4,300 @ MIA
Heyward has been a monster at the plate thus far this season. He’s hitting .375 with four home runs, 10 RBI, a 1.160 OPS, and is averaging 12.5 FPPG. Heyward also has five multi-hit efforts. With the consistency and power he’s displaying right now and a modest price tag, he should be a guy you are playing often.

Domingo Santana (SEA): $4,200 vs. CLE
Santana is an RBI machine right now with 23 of them in 2019. He’s batting .333 with four home runs, a .951 OPS, and is averaging 11.8 FPPG. He’s gone hitless in only three games this season making him a reliable floor guy with a high ceiling.

Marcell Ozuna (STL): $4,000 @MIL
This is the cheapest option of the three but is still a strong value play. His slash of .275/.302/.627 has been good enough to average him 10.5 fantasy points a game. Even better, his slash is up across the board in his last seven games, .308/.333/.962. Ozuna will save you cap space and can be a double-digit FPPG guy any night.
