Here are my Week 14 Bold Predictions

Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB – KC) is an RB1, topping 120+ scrimmage yards off 15+ touches and a TD.
Although Miami’s D is the second-highest scoring defense in the league, they’re slightly below the middle of the pack in terms of team rushing yards allowed per game, while their passing defense ranks inside the top-15 in the NFL. In a game that could certainly be more competitive than some are willing to admit, if the Chiefs want to control the clock and tempo of the game, they must establish the run early which means featuring their 2020 first-round pick as often as possible. After an expectedly disappointing game against the best rushing defense in the league in Week 12, CEH was essentially inactive despite dressing in Week 13 due to an illness he had been battling leading up to the week. However, after logging successful, healthy practices leading up to this Sunday’s contest, CEH is poised to regain possession of the lead running back duties for the Chiefs and produce RB1 fantasy numbers. Look for Edwards-Helaire to bounce back in a big way in Week 14.

Russell Wilson (QB – SEA) is the QB1 of Week 14.
Wilson was off to an extremely hot-start, warranted for the NFL and fantasy football early-season MVP. However, since Week 10, King Wilson has cooled down a bit, ranking as the QB11 over this four-game span after starting the season as the QB3 from Weeks 1-9. If there was the perfect get-right matchup for Wilson, it is his Week 14 contest against the winless New York Jets. While the Jets rank 11th in fewest rushing yards allowed to opposing teams, they rank second in passing yards surrendered to opponents. With that in mind, the key to Seattle’s success will be letting Russ cook once again. If the Seahawks want to maintain momentum heading into this crucial juncture of the season, Wilson needs to get back to his style of play from earlier in the season, which means leaning on the dynamic WR duo of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Wilson will get back on track this week, tossing four or more touchdowns, while throwing for more than 350 yards and not surrendering any turnovers, finishing the week as the number one overall fantasy quarterback.

Christian Kirk (WR – ARZ) is a top-24 WR in Week 14.
Kirk was dominant from Weeks 4-9, ranking as the WR11 in PPR scoring. However, since Week 10, Kirk has not produced at the same level despite seeing six targets in three of the last four games, falling to the WR78 during this stretch. However, better days are ahead for Kirk, who should benefit this week from DeAndre Hopkins being shadowed by James Bradberry. Kirk is a true boom-or-bust option who should be started with caution but look for Kirk to get back to his early-season ways, finishing as a low-end WR2 or better for Week 14.

Chris Godwin (WR – TB) tops 100-yards receiving for the first time in 2020.
Godwin has been faced with a slew of injuries, resulting in an up and down fantasy campaign. However, it appears the setbacks are behind Godwin, who has one of the best fantasy playoff schedules for a WR. Godwin is coming off three-straight double-digit performances and will look to build off that streak with his best performance of the season, topping the century mark for the first time all season. Godwin has gone over 20 fantasy points only once in 2020, something that will change in Week 14. After having surgery on his injured finger, all signs are pointing towards a healthy Chris Godwin against a vulnerable Minnesota Vikings defense.

Kareem Hunt (RB – CLE) outscores Nick Chubb (RB – CLE) in PPR.
Since returning from injury, Chubb has been on an absolute tear, while Hunt’s fantasy production has taken a noticeable hit. While Chubb was on IR, Hunt was the RB16, but since Chubb has returned and reacclimated himself in Cleveland’s offense, it has been a different story. From Weeks 9-13, Chubb ranks as RB7 while Hunt comes in as RB29. Much of this could be equated to a positive game script for the Browns in recent weeks. Baltimore has been susceptible on the ground at times this season, but if they want any shot at beating the Browns, they must stabilize Chubb, which this defensive unit is more than capable of doing. Hunt will benefit from Baltimore’s defensive scheme against Chubb, leading Hunt to produce on pass-catching plays and goal-line situations like he has done all season. Look for Hunt to have a bounce-back performance against their bitter divisional rival, outscoring his running mate Chubb in PPR formats.

T.J. Hockenson (TE – DET) scores two touchdowns against Green Bay.
Hockenson has stepped up as Matthew Stafford’s most reliable target in the absences of Kenny Golladay this season, currently ranking as the TE3 on the season. Hoceknson has been extremely consistent and efficient the season, yet he hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 9. This changes on Sunday in a divisional matchup that has the makings of an exciting contest, when Hockenson grabs not one, but two touchdowns on his way to a top-five tight end finish on the week.

Chase Edmonds (RB – ARZ) scores 20+ fantasy points.
With Kenyan Drake appearing on the injury report with a hip injury, although expected to play, perhaps Drake will be limited in some capacity. If that is the case, Edmonds would be in line to handle additional touches. Edmonds has showcased his ability to produce at a high level for fantasy, which he will do once again in his Week 14 matchup against the Giants. Even if Drake does play at full capacity, Drake has proven he can put up big numbers on limited touches. Regardless if Drake is out or not, Edmonds has sneaky upside this week in a game that could feature both running backs producing big fantasy performances.

Curtis Samuel (WR – CAR) scores 20+ fantasy points.
Christian McCaffrey is again doubtful to play this Sunday with a new thigh injury. D.J. Moore is on the COVID/Reserved list and is out for Week 14. This leaves Samuel with a prime opportunity to get peppered with targets and also be featured as a ball carrier, an area of the field he has excelled out, especially this season. Samuel possesses great upside this week in a matchup that should be high scoring with both teams surrendering a ton of yards. If Samuel can once again step into a more prominent role and produce at a high level, he will make fantasy managers that start him very happy.
