Mike Williams went down with an ankle injury in Week 7 and has not played since. Before the injury, he averaged 8.4 targets per game from QB Justin Herbert and was an integral part of fantasy teams, regularly bringing WR1/WR2 numbers. Fantasy managers would love to have him back to his productive self for Week 11 when Los Angeles takes on Kansas City, who rank 22nd in pass defense. So will Mike Williams play in Week 11? Here’s what we know.

Mike Williams (ankle) questionable for Week 11
Mike Williams (ankle) upgraded to a full participant during Friday’s practice but is still listed as questionable ahead of Week 11 versus the Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact
Williams’ teammate, Keenan Allen (hamstring), is also questionable despite practicing in full. It seems like the team just wants to make sure the two receives respond well to a full practice and don’t have any setbacks. At this point, we can expect both to be active in Week 11.

What the Experts Are Saying
Williams was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to a full practice on Friday. Williams is the WR13 in fantasy with a 20.3% target share (39th) and 34.9% air yard share (15th). He’s 12th in red zone targets this season among wide receivers. Yes, all of this production has occurred without Allen in the lineup, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that Williams has been a baller when on the field. He’ll run about 83% of his routes on the perimeter against Trent McDuffie (60% catch rate, 76.7 passer rating), Joshua Williams (63.2% catch rate, 108.1 passer rating), and Jaylen Watson (63.8% catch rate, 95.5 passer rating). If active, Williams is a WR2.

Williams also looks poised to return this week. We would anticipate at least a 10-15% dip in his explosiveness at four weeks off of what looked like a severe high ankle sprain. Over the next two weeks, we’d expect him to progress quickly back to normal.
